Broker Management Class

Yes, that's now 18 hours of Continuing Ed that is required for Broker License renewal 
 
The IDFPR will not allow the BM course to be given home study
- the course must be taken in the classroom.

Newly licensed brokers must take the class
 within 180 days of obtaining their Broker's license

We STRONGLY recommend taking our Super Combo.

All brokers when renewing their license must now complete 18 hours of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) approved continuing education (6 hours of core; 6 hours of elective and the 6 hour brokerage management class). The core and the elective can be taken home study, however, the IDFPR will not allow the broker management class to be taken home study - classroom attendance is required.

The Broker Management Continuing Education course was created by the IDFPR to provide the knowledge necessary to remain a competent Illinois real estate broker. The course is a six-hour, classroom, continuing education course delivered through a combination of different learning techniques;  lecture, discussion, and small group exercises. 

At the completion of the course there is a 50 question multiple choice exam that will be proctored by Information Professionals, but will then have to be sent to the Real Estate Education Foundation (REEF) for grading. Your notice of Pass or Failure will be mailed to you from REEF in approximately 3 weeks. Information Professionals has nothing to do with the grading of the exam.

Only 1 re-test of the exam is allowed.  A re-test fee of $25 will be charged.

You should take the course early in your renewal period, to allow for grading and possibly retaking a failed exam.

Broker Manangement - $149

Super Combo— $199 includes Broker Management in-class, and 6 hours core home study and 6 hours elective home study  (for the Super Combo price you must take Ethics & Red Flags and test at lunch time of your broker management class — home study tests are all True or False)  

 Students canceling a class must cancel by fax 708-687-8038

at least 3 days before the start of class  to receive a refund less a 25% cancellation fee.
