Salespersons and Brokers must transition (Salesperson to Broker and
Broker to Managing Broker)
before April 30, 2012

Salespersons that do not transition will lose their license April 30, 2012 and must fulfil the requirements to a new licensee to get a license. Brokers not transitioning by April 30, 2012 will lose the licensing privileges they now have as a Broker (they basically will become what we used to know as a Salesperson)

Videos explaining the transition process can be found on our website at www.IllinoisRealEstateClass.com

Brokers must renew their license by April 30, 2012

Please read:
How many hours of continuing education do I need?

It all depends on how you got your license and when. Find your appropriate license situation listed below. One important fact to note is did you transition by taking the Proficiency Test (If you took it with Information Professionals it was a paper test booklet and you filled out a computerized answer sheet and waited to get your pass/fail notice in the mail or you might have taken it elsewhere and completed it on computer and the computer gave you your pass/fail notice OR you transitioned by taking the transition education hours {Information Professionals provides the course home study} and you took Information Professionals test that was graded immediately). Brokers are first to renew (April 30, 2011) so we've listed Brokers first.

It's a $50 fine for each hour of CE that you don't take. Lie on your renewal and it means big fines and loss of license.

How do I take my Continuing Education?

State law prohibits receiving more than 6 hours classroom credit in the same day. State law does allow you to take 6 hours of classroom and 6 or 12 or 18 hours of home study on the same day. Our Combo Class assists you in taking advantage of this provision in the law. Combo Class students will be sent the home study material when signing up for the class. Combo Class students must register early enough to receive the home study materials 24 hours before testing.  Testing for Combo Class students' home study credit hours must taken on the day of the class or pay the appropriate fees.

All combo classes require same day testing for all hours
